In January, a Principia Study Abroad Program was presented by Leigh who had traveled to England in Fall 2017. We were treated to a slideshow with beautiful photographs of the English countryside while sipping on tea and other tasty treats such as scones, jams, biscuits, finger sandwiches, and even local kingcake!
In February, we had two Longyear Museum Presentations by Jared Eggers. Saturday's program had two parts: the mission of Longyear, and an examination of the circumstances, students, and results of Mary Baker Eddy's Class of 1898. Sunday's program involved participation by adults and Sunday School students in learning more about our Christian Science pioneers. (Click here for a flyer for more information about this program.)
In April, our Sunday School planted a flower garden, and then we celebrated with a delicious Italian meal donated by Olive Garden. We also watched a slide show on Israel, Jordan, and Greece presented by one of our members.
In July, the Sunday School invited everyone to join them for a Froggy Day. What's a Froggy Day? It's a day like every day - we see frogs eating what's bugging them - but we know better. We Fully Rely on God (FROG). The Sunday School was set up with activity tables; we had pizza and hamburgers, enjoyed green cupcakes and other snacks, played games, and loved our New Orleans treat -- snowballs!
